The school board of Beacon College in Hong Kong is forming the Greater Bay Area HKDSE Development Education Committee with the aim of providing better educational resources and development opportunities for HKDSE students in the Greater Bay Area. The committee brings together a group of experienced education scholars and advisors to provide guidance in curriculum and overall management, continuously improving the quality of teaching and bringing greater benefits to HKDSE students in the Greater Bay Area.
We are honored to have Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim as the Chief Advisor for the Greater Bay Area HKDSE Development. With his wealth of experience and expertise, Mr. Ng has visited numerous countries and regions during his tenure as the Secretary for Education of Hong Kong. He has worked closely with the Hong Kong Education Bureau, education scholars, school and university leaders, as well as the team at the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, tirelessly advocating and promoting the HKDSE as the university entrance examination. Through the collective efforts of the team, more than 200 overseas universities have recognized and accepted the HKDSE, earning him the affectionate title of “Father of HKDSE.”
As an education figure in Hong Kong, Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim has been committed to enhancing educational exchanges and cooperation among institutions in Hong Kong and mainland China. During the pandemic, he attended online the opening ceremony of the Beacon HKDSE International Programme in the Greater Bay Area, where he encouraged and emphasized the advantages of bilingual assessment and international recognition in the HKDSE. His aim is to provide students with a unique and China-focused international education, promote deep integration of education and youth, and foster more talents for the nation.
